THE FIRST SMARTPHONE UNDER UBUNTU 2014

If until now, the company Canonical had not yet been able to impose its operating system Ubuntu Touch on a smartphone, officially, everything should quickly change by next year. As has awarded the CEO of the firm, Mark Shuttleworth, the site CNET, a trade agreement has finally been signed with a manufacturer whose name has not yet been announced.

Concerning the technical aspects of the first smartphones in Touch Ubuntu , Mark Shuttleworth says it will be possible to install Android applications. There is however no statement on any of its compatibility with the OS but Google says , however, that its open source nature allows it to Java applications written for the Linux kernel, finally close enough to feature Android applications.

Course remains to define when do we can expect to see the first smartphone running Ubuntu OS Touch land on the market. At this level , Mark Shuttleworth refuses to give any details but it is already rumored that the company could announce new products at the MWC 2014 will be held in late February in Barcelona.
